    ١١٩٦) محمد بن يوسف بن موسى بن مسدي أبو بكر الأندلسي المهلبي الغرناطي: قال ابن حبان: "أخبرني أبو علي بن أبي الأحوص أن بعض شيوخه من الأندلس عمل أربعين حديثًا، فأخذها ابن مسدي فركب لها أسانيد وادعاها". قال الحافظ: "قلت: ليس هذا بقادح في صدقه، وإنما يعاب بأنه أوهم في أنه خرجها وتعب في تخريجها، ولو كان ادعى السماع منها لما لم يسمع لكان كذابا وحاشاه من ذلك".
