    ١٥٩) أحمد بن يحيى بن إسحاق أبو الحسين ابن الراوندي: " الزنديق الشهير كان أولًا من متكلمي المعتزلة، ثم تزندق، واشتهر بالإلحاد، وقيل: إنه كان لا يستقر على مذهب، ولا يثبت على شيء، ويقال: كان غاية في الذكاء، وقد صنف كتبا كثيرة يطعن فيها على الإسلام، وقد أجاد الشيخ في حذف ترجمته من هذا الكتاب، وإنما أوردته لألعنه، توفي - إلى لعنة الله- في سنة ثمان وتسعين ومائتين".
