٦٧ - أحمد بن على بن هبة الله بن الحسن بن على، الزوال-وأصله: الزّولى (٢)، فغيروه، ومعناه: الرجل الشجاع (٣) -ابن محمد بن يعقوب بن الحسين بن عبد الله المأمون بن الرشيد القاضى، المعروف بابن المأمون. قرأ النحو واللغة على أبى منصور الجواليقى (٤). وولى القضاء (٥) فلما تولّى المستنجد حبس القضاة، وهو منهم، فأقام بالسجن إحدى عشرة سنة، فكتب فيه ثمانين مجلّدا، وشرح الفصيح، وجمع كتابا سماه: «أسرار الحروف». ولما ولى المستضئ أفرج عن المسجونين، وأعاد عليهم مرتباتهم، عن (٦) السنين المقصودة (٧).
