(محمود بن أحمد) بن ظهير شمس الدين اللارندي كان فقيهًا خلافًا أصوليًا عالمًا بالفرائض والحساب تفقه علي صدر الدين سليمان بن وهب وصنف في الفرائض كتابا سماه إرشاد ذوى الألباب إلى معرفة الصواب وإرشاد الراجي شرح فرائض السراجى وشرح عروض الأندلسي وتفقه عليه تاج الدين بن خليل وتوفي فيما أظن قبل سنة عشرين وسبعمائة. (قال الجامع) أرخ صاحب الكشف وفاته في حدود سنة خمس وعشرين وسبعمائة.
