[محمد بن عبد الله] بن محمد بن عمر أبو جعفر الفقيه البلخي الهندواني شيخ كبير وإمام جليل القدر من أهل بلخ كان على جانب عظيم من الفقه والذكاء والزهد والورع ويقال له أبو حنيفة الصغير لفقهه حدث ببلخ وأفتى بالمشكلات وأوضح المعضلات تفقه على أبي بكر الأعمش عن أبي بكر الاسكاف عن محمد بن سلمة عن أبي سليمان عن محمد عن أبى حنيفة وتفقه عليه نصر بن محمد أبو الليث الفقيه وجماعة كثيرة وكانت وفاته ببخارى سنة اثنتين وستين وثلاثمائة.
