[محمد بن أحمد] بن موسى بن سلام القاضى أبو جعفر البخاري البركدى نسبة إلى بركد بفتح الباء الموحدة وسكون الراء المهملة وفتح الكاف آخره دال مهمة قرية من قرى بخارى مات سنة ست وسبعينومائتين. (قال الجامع) أرخ السمعاني وفاته سنة ٢٨٩ حيث قال بعد ذكر أن بركهـ قرية من قرى بخارى منها أبو جعفر محمد بن أحمد بن موسى بن سلام القاضي كان على مظالم بخارى سمع من أهل بلده وروى عن أبيه والوليد بن إسماعيل وأبي عبد الله بن أبي حفص الكبير وغيرهم وروى عنه أبو حفص أحمد بن أحمد بن حمدان وغيره مات في ذي الحجة سنة ٢٨٩ فى ولاية الأمير ابن إبراهيم إسماعيل بن أحمد انتهى.
