(أسعد بن محمد) بن الحسين أبو المظفر جمال الإسلام الكرابيسي النيسابوري كان فقيهاً فاضلًا أديباً عالماً حسن الطريقة له معرفة تامة بالفروع والأصول أخذ الفقه عن علاء الدين الأسمندى السمرقندى عن السيد الأشرف عن أبيه إبي الوضاح عن أبيه السيد أبى شجاع وقرأ الأدب على أبي منصور موهوب الكرابيس بفتح الكاف ثم الراء المهملة ثم الألف ثم الباء الموحدة ثم المثناة التحتية ثم السين المهملة جمع: كرباس ذكره السمعاني.
