(أحمد بن صدر الدين سليمان) بن وهب بن أبي العزتقي الدين الدمشقي كان إماماً فاضلا ضابطاً للفنون صدراً من الصدور أخذ العلوم عن أبيه عن الحصيري عن قاضي خان مات سنة خمس وثمانينوستمائة (قال الجامع) سيأتي ذكر أبيه وأخيه محمد بن سليمان وابن أخيه إسماعيل بن محمد بن سليمان .. ونسبتهم إلى دمشق وهو بكسر الدال وفتح الميم وكون الشين المعجمة آخره قاف أحسن بلاد الشام وأكثرها أهلا ذكره السمعاني.
