    ٣٠٠٤ - (ت ١٣٥٥ هـ): عبدُ الله بنُ المغيرة النَّجْديُّ الحنْبَليُّ. ذكره الزَّرِكْليُّ في "أعلامِهِ" (¬١) وقال: هو من حوطة بني تميم مؤرِّخٌ، رَحَّالةٌ من أهلِ نجد، له كتبٌ في التَّاريخ العامِّ والخاصِّ، ظَلَّتْ كلها مخطوطةً، وقد أهدى أكثرها إلى الملك عبدِ العزيز آل سعود، فهي محفوظة في الخزانةِ الملكيةِ بالرَّياض، عاش نحو مئة عام، وتوفي بالطائف سَنَة خمسٍ وخمسين وثلاث مئة وألف. انتهى.
