    ٢٩٧٩ - (ت ١٣٤٧ هـ): الشيخُ عبدُ الرَّحمن بنُ ناصر بنِ حسين بنِ فرج النجديُّ، الحنبلي. ذكره الشيخُ سليمانُ بن حمدانَ فيما رأيتُه بخطِّه وقال: أصلهم من الحوطة، حوطة بني تميم، قرأ على والده الشيخ ناصرٍ بنِ حسين، وعلى خالِهِ الشيخ سعد بنِ عتيق، وأجازه، وتولَّى القضاء في بلد رَنْيه مَرَّتين، وقد قرأ في الفِقْهِ، والحديثِ، والنحو، والتوحيد، وغير ذلك، ومن محفوظاتهِ "الألفيةُ" لابن مالك، و"مختصر المقنع"، وغير ذلك، وتوفي في جمادى الأولى سَنَةَ سبعٍ وأربعين وثلاث مئة وألف. انتهى.
