٢٨٩٧ - (ت ١٣١٧ هـ): معروف بنُ محمدٍ بنِ حسنٍ بن عمَر بنِ معروف الشطي الدِّمَشْقيُّ الحنبليُّ. ذكره ابنُ الشطي في "مختصره" (¬١) وقال: وُلِدَ سنة ستٍّ وثمانين ومئتين وألف بدمشق، وحضر دروس والِدِهِ وعمِّه وغيرهما، وصار كاتبًا في محكمة الباب، وكانَ عليه إمامةُ جامع السَّادات في مَحلَّة مسجد الأقصاب، وكان فرضيًا، تقيًا، كاملًا، توفي شابًا سنة سبعَ عشرة وثلاث مئة وأَلف. انتهى.
