٢٧٨٩ - (ت ١٢٣٣ هـ): أحمد بنُ رشيد النَّجْدِي، الحنبلي، الشيخُ، العالمُ، الفاضلُ، المحقِّقُ، المدقِّق. ذكره ابنُ بشر في "تاريخ نجد" (¬٣) وقال: هو أحمدُ بن رشيد صاحب المدينة، كان في الدرعية عند عبد الله، فأمر عليه الباشا، فعُزِّرَ بالضرب والعذاب، وقُلِعَتْ جميعُ أسنانه، وتوفي سنة ثلاث وثلاثين ومئتين وألف. انتهى.
