    ٢٦٩٤ - (ت ١١٥٥ هـ): القاضِي أسعَد بن عَبد الحافِظ بن إبراهيم، الوَفَائِي، الدِّمشقي، الحَنبليُّ. ذكره المُرَادي (¬٢)، وقالَ: هو قاضِي الحَنابِلَة بدمشقَ، الشيخُ الفَقيهُ الفاضِلُ الكاملُ، حافِظُ الدِّين. كانَ قاضيًا مَرجِعًا في الأَحكامِ الشَّرعيَّة المُوافِقَة لمذهَبِهِ،مُستقيمًا على حَالتِهِ، إلى أن ماتَ، وكانَتْ وفاتُه سَنةَ خَمسٍ وخَمسينَ ومئة وألف. انتهى.
