    ٢٥٧٢ - (ت ٩٤٥ هـ): سليمانُ الصَّوَّاف، الحنبلي، الشيخ، الصَّالح العارف بالله تعالى.ذكره ابنُ العِماد (¬١) وقال: قال في "الكواكب": كان قادِرِيًّا لحق سَيَّدي علي بنِ مَيْمُون وأخذ عن شيخِ الإسلام الجد، وَعَدَّهُ شيخُ الإسلام الوالد ممن تلمذ لوالده من أولياء الله تعالى، وأخبرني وَلَدُه الشيخُ أحمد أنَّ ابنَ طولون كانَ يترددُ إلى والده ويعتقده، وأنَّهُ توفي في سنة خمسٍ وأربعين وتسع مئة. انتهى ملخَّصًا من ترجمةٍ طويلةٍ.
