    ٢٠٧٥ - (ت ٨٠٨ هـ): محمَّدُ بن محمَّد بن أحمد بن محمد، الفارِسِيُّ الأَصلِ، المَقْدِسِيُّ، الدِّمشقيُّ، الحنبلي، المعروفُ بابنِ المُهَندِس. قالَ السَّخاوِيُّ في "الضَّوء" (¬٣): قالَ شيخُنا ابنُ حَجَر في "إنبائِهِ" هو أخو الشِّهاب، وهذا الأصغر نشأ جَيِّدًا صيِّنًا، وصحبَ الشَّيخَ فَخرَ الدِّين السُّيوفي، وبمكَّة الشَّيخ عبد الله بن سَعد اليافِعي. وكانَتْ له في شَبابِهِ أحوالٌ صالِحة، ثُمَّ باشرَ بعضَ الدَّواوين، وحَصَّل أموالًا، ولم تُحمَدْ سِيرتُه، وكانَ قد سَمِعَ من الميَدُومي، وغَيرِه. وماتَ في شوَّال، سَنةَ ثمانٍ وثمانِ مئة. انتهى.
