    ١٩٤٠ - (ت ٧٩٩ هـ): عثمان بن محمد بن وجيه الشِّيْشِيْنِيُّ بمعجمتين مكسورتين، بعد كل منهما تحتانيةٌ ساكنةٌ، ثم نونٌ قبل يَاء النَّسْبَة، الحنبلي. قال ابن العماد (¬٣): سمع "جامع الترمذي" من العرضي، ومظفر الدين العَسْقَلاني، بسندهما المعروف، وكان يُباشر في الشَّهادات، وينتوب في الحكم ببعض البلاد، وكان ذا مروءة، ومواساةٍ لأصحابه، وأجاز للحافظ ابن حجر، وتوفي يوم نصف ربيع الآخر سنةَ تسعٍ وتسعينَ وسبع مئة. انتهى.
