    ١٧٤٩ - (ت ٧٥٥ هـ): أحمدُ بن مُحَمَّد بن سُلَيمان بن حَمْزة بن أَحْمد بن أبي عُمر المَقدِسِي، الصَّالحي، الحنبلي، الخَطيب بالجامع المُظَفَّري، نَجمُ الدِّين، ابنُ قاضي القُضاة عزِّ الدِّين. قال ابنُ العِماد (¬٣): سمعَ من جَدِّه التقيَّ، وغَيره. وكانَ من فُرسان النَّاس، وقَلَّ مَنْ كانَ مثلَه في سَمْتِه. توفِّي في رجَب، سَنة خَمسٍ وخَمسين وسَبع مئة عن بِضع وأربعين سَنة. انتهى. وذكرهُ ابنُ حجر في "الدُّرر" (¬٤)، وقال: قال الحُسَيني: كانَ من فُرسانِ النَّاس بالمَنابر، قَلَّ من رأينا مِثلَهُ في سَمْتهِ، خطبَ بالجامعِ المُظَفَّري مُدَّة. انتهى.
