    ١٦١٥ - (ت ٧٣٨ هـ): أحمد بن عمر بن عبد الله بن عمر بن عوض، المَقْدِسِيُّ الحنبلي، تقي الدين القاضي. قال ابن حَجَر في "الدُّرَر" (¬٣): ولي قضاء الحنابلة بالديار المصرية بعد مسعود الحارثي سنة اثنتي عشرة وسبع مئة، فصرف عن القضاء، ومات بعد ذلك بيسير، أثنى عليه ابن حبيب فقال: تقيٌّ وافَقَ لقبُه فعلَه، ووافق عِلْمُه فضلَه، نصر الحقَّ، وسهَّل الأمر المشقَّ، وباشر القضاء ستًّا وعشرين سنةً، وكان يدرِّس في الفقه الحنبلي، إلى أن مات في ذي القعدة سنة سبع وثلاثين وسبع مئة، وله ست وسبعون سنةً. انتهى.
