١٢٨٩ - (ت ٦٨٠ هـ): محمَّدُ بنُ علي بن محمود، الحنبلي، جمال الدين،أبو حامد، بن الصّابوني، الحافظ، شيخُ دار الحديث النُّورِيَّة. ذكره الذهبيُّ (¬١)، وابنُ العِماد (¬٢)، بما مُلَخَّصُه: ولد سنة أربع وستِّ مئة، وسمع من أبي القاسم بن الحَرَسْتَانِي، وخلق كثير. وكتب العالي والنَّازِل، وبالغَ، وحصَّل الأُصول، وجمَعَ وصنَّف، واختَلَط قبل مَوْتهِ بسَنَة، أو أكثر. وتوفي في نصف ذي القعدة، سَنة ثمانين وستِّ مئة. انتهى. وله مُصنَّفات، منها: كتاب "التُّحفة في أجزاء الحديث"، و"المؤتلف والمختلف" في الأسماء، وغيرها.
