    ١٢٤٢ - (ت ٦٥٧ هـ): أسعد بن عثمان بن المُنَجَّا، التَّنُوخي، الدِّمشقي، الحنبلي، الرَّئيس، صدرُ الدَّين، أبو الفتح، واقف المدرسة الصَّدريَّة بدمشق، ودفن بها.قال ابنُ العماد (¬١): ولد سنة ثمان وتسعين وخمس مئة بدمشق، وسمع بها من حَنْبَل، وابن طَبَرْزَد. وحدَّث، وكان أحدَ المُعَدَّلين، ذوي الأموال والثَّروة والصَّدقات. وولي نظر الجامع مُدَّة وثمَّر له أموالًا كثيرة، واستجدَّ في ولايته أمورًا. توفي في تاسع عشر شهر رمضان، سنة سبع وخمسين وست مئة. انتهى. وذكره ابنُ رجب (¬٢) بنحوه.
