    ١٠٠٠ - (ت ٥٩٦ هـ): حمَّاد بن مزيد بن خليفة، أبو الفوارس، البغدادي، الضَّرير، الحنبلي، المقرئ، قرأ على سعد الله بن نصر الدَّجاجي، وعلي بن عساكر البطائِحي، الحنبليين، وتَفَقَّه في مذهب أحمد، وكان حَاذِقًا، قرأ عليه جماعةٌ، وكان شيخًا، صالحًا، حسنًا، ورعًا، ناقدًا، له معرفةٌ حسنةٌ في الفقه، والقراآت، وطريقةٌ مليحةٌ في الأداء والتجويد. توفي سنة ست وتسعين وخمس مئة. ذكره ابن النجَّار وابن الجزري (¬١) وغيرهما. انتهى.
