٩٩٠ - (ت ٥٩٣ هـ): عبد الله بن أحمد بن جعفر أبو جعفر الواسطي، الفقيه، المقرئ الضَّرير الحنبلي.قال ابن الجزري في "الغاية" (¬١): قرأ على أبي عبد الله البارع، وسِبْط الخيَّاط، وسَمِعَ من ابن الحُصَين، وأحمد بن الحسن بن البَنَّاء، روى عنه أبو عبد الله الدُّبَيْثي، ويوسف بن خليل الحنبلي الحافظ، مات يوم عَرَفَة، سنة ثلاثٍ وتسعين وخمس مئة، وله ثمانٍ وثمانونَ سنة. قاله ابنُ الدُّبَيْثِي، وقال ابنُ النجَّار: بل قد جاوز التسعين سنة. انتهى.
