    ٩٧٦ - (ت ٥٩١ هـ): إسماعيل بن أبي سعد بن علي بن إبراهيم بن محمد، أبو الحسن الأَصبهاني، المحدَّث، ويُعْرَف بطاهرنية، الحنبلي. قال ابن العماد (¬٢): سَمِعَ الكثير، وحَصَّل الأصول، وحدَّثَ ببغداد قَدِمها حاجًّا عَنْ فاطمةَ الجُوْزْدَانِيَّة، وفاطمة بنت محمد بن أحمد بن البغدادي، وسَمِعَ منه أبوالفتوح بنُ الحصري وغيره. وكان شيخًا، صالحًا، صدوقًا. توفي في صفر سنة إحدى وتسعين وخمس مئة انتهى. وذكره ابن رجب (¬١) بنحوه.
