    ٨٥٨ - (ت ٥٤٨ هـ): محمود بن الحسين بن بُنْدار، أبو نجِيح الطَّلحي، المحدِّث، الواعظ، الحنبلي. قال ابن العماد (¬٣): سمع الحديث الكثير، وطلبه بنفسه، وقرأ وسمع بأصبهان كثيرًا من يحيى بن مَنْدَه الحافظ وغيره، ورحل إلى بغداد، وسمع بها من ابن الحصين، والقاضي أبي الحسين، وكتب بخطه كثيرًا، وخطه حسنٌ مُتْقن، ووعظٌ، وقال الشعر، وسمع منه ابن سَعْدُون القرطبي وحدَّث عنه محمد بن مكي الأصبهاني، وغيره، وتوفي سنة ثمان وأربعين وخمس مئة. انتهى. وذكره ابن رجب (¬٤) بنحوه.
