    ٧٨٠ - (ت ٥١٠ هـ): المبارك بن الحسين، أبو الخير الغَسَّال، البغدادي، المُقرئ الحنبلي الأديب، شيخ الإِقراء ببغداد. ذكره ابن العماد (¬٣) فقال: قرأ على أبي بكر محمد بن علي الخيَّاط، وجماعة،وبواسط على غُلام الهرَّاس، وحدَّث عن أبي محمدا لخلال وجماعة. وتوفي في جمادى الأولى سنة عشرٍ وخمس مئة عن بضعٍ وثمانين سنة. انتهى. وذكره ابن الجزري في "الغاية" (¬١)، وأطنب في ترجمته، ومما قاله فيه: هو إمامٌ مقرئٌ حاذقٌ أديبٌ. قال أبو عبد الله الحافظ: عُني بالقرآات عنايةً كليةً، وتقدَّم فيها، وطال عمره، وعلا سنده، وقصده الطلبة لحذقه وبصره بالفن. انتهى المراد منه.
