    ٧٢٦ - (ت ٤٧٨ هـ): أحمد بن مرزوق بن عبد الرزَّاق، أبو المَعَالي، الزَّعْفَرَاني، المحدّث، الحنبلي. قال ابن العماد (¬١): سمع الحديث الكثير، وطلبه بنفسه، وكتب بخطِّه. قال أبو علي البَرَداني: كان همَّته جمع الحديث وطلبه. حدَّث باليسير عن أحمد بن عمر بن الأخضر، وأبي الحسين العُكْبَرِىّ، وغيرهم. وروى عنه البَرَدانِيُّ، وقال: إنه مات ليلة الثّلاثاء، مستهلّ مُحرَّم، سنة ثمان وسبعين وأربع مئة. انتهى كلام ابن العماد. وذكره ابن رجب (¬٢) بنحوه.
