٤٦٠ - (ت ٢٨١ هـ): محمد بن محمد بن إدريس الشافعي الإِمام، أبو عثمان. قال النابلسي (¬٤): سمع أباه، وسفيان بن عيينة، وسال أحمد عن أشياء، وتوفي سنة إحدى وثمانين ومئتين. انتهى. وذكره الخطيب البغدادي في "تاريخه" (¬٥) فقال: محمد بن الشافعي محمد بن إدريس، يكنى أبا عثمان، سمع سفيان بن عيينة، وأباه، وولي قضاء بغداد، وتوفي بالجزيرة بعد سنة أربعين ومئتين. وللشافعي ولد أيضًا اسمه محمد، قدم مصر مع أبيهوهو صغير، وتوفي سنة إحدى وثلاثين ومئتين.
