٤٤٧ - (ت ٢٦٤ هـ): محمد بن علي بن داود، أبو بكر الحافظ المعروف بابن أخت غزال. قال النابلسي (¬٣): نزل مصر، وحدث بها عن: سعيد بن داود الزبيري، ومحمد بن عبد الله البينوني، وأحمد بن حنبل، ويحيى بن معين في آخرين. روى عنه: أبو جعفر الطحاوي، وغيره. وتوفي في قرية من أسفل أرض مصر في شهر ربيع الأول سنة أربع وستين ومئتين. انتهى. وذكره الخطيب البغدادي في "تاريخه" (¬٤) بمثل ما هنا، وزاد: هو ثقة حسن الحديث.
