١٢٦ - (ت ٢٦٣ هـ): إسماعيل بن أبان بن محمد بن حُوَيّ، السكسكي البَتَلْهِي. لم يذكره النابلسي، ولا ابن الجوزي. وذكره ياقوت في "المعجم" (¬٤) بما المراد منه: روى عن أبي مسهر، وأحمد بن حنبل، وأبي مصعب الزُّهري، وخطاب بن عثمان، ونوح بن عمر بن حُوَيّ، وغيرهم. وروى عنه أحمد بن المعلا، ومحمد بن جعفر بن ملاس، وأبو الحسن بن جوصا، وأبو الجهم بن طلاب، والعباس بن الوليد بن مزيد وهو من أقرانه وغيرهم. ومات ببيت لهيا لثلاث عشرة ليلة خلت من ذي القعدة سنة ثلاث وستين ومئتين.وذكره الخطيب في "تاريخه"، وفي "المتفق والمفترق". وذكرتُ ترجمته كاملة في "القطف".
