١٦ - (ت ٢٤٤ هـ): أحمد بن حميد أبو طالب المُشْكاني، المتخصص بصحبة الإِمام أحمد. قال النابلسي (¬٤): روى عن أحمد مسائل كثيرة، وكان أحمد يكرمه جدًا، ويعظمه، حدَّث عنه أبو محمد فوران، وزكريا بن يحيى وغيرهم. وذكره أبو بكر الخلَّال، فقال: صحب أحمد قديمًا إلى أن مات، وكان أحمد يكرمه ويقدِّمه، وكان رجلًا صالحًا، فقيرًا صبورًا على الفقر، فعلَّمه أبو عبد الله مذهبَ القنوع والاحتراف. ومات قديمًا بالقرب من موت أبي عبد الله فلم تقع مسائله إلى الأحداث. قال ابن قانع: مات سنة أربع وأربعين ومئتين. انتهى. وذكره ابن الجوزي (¬٥) وعدَّه العليمي (¬٦) في الحنابلة.
