والمنسوب: عبد الكريم بن سعيد بن أحمد بن سليمان المالكي، أبو الفائز المقرئ، النهر فضلي. الأصل، البغدادي من أهل الرّصافة، من أبناء الشيوخ الصالحين، ولد في سنة (٤٨٩) سمع أباه، وأبا المعالي صالح بن شافع، وصحب أبا المعالي الصالح، وذكره أبو بكر محمد بن المبارك في معجم شيوخه. مات في ثالث عشر صفر سنة (٥٦٤) (٢). (١٩٨٣) النسبة: النهرواني، نسبة إلى نَهْرَوان: وأكثر ما يجري على الألسنة بكسر النون، وهي ثلاثة نهروانات: الأعلى والأوسط والأسفل، وهي كورة (٣) واسعة، بين بغداد وواسط، من الجانب الشرقي.
