    والمنسوب: الحافظ أبو حاتم مكي بن عبدان بن محمد بن بكر بن مسلم بن راشد النيسابوري، النّكري. من شيوخه: محمد بن يحيى الذهلي، ومسلم بن الحجاج القشيري، وعبد الله بن هاشم، ومحمد بن منحل، وكان من الحفّاظ. من تلاميذه: أبو أحمد بن عدي وأبو بكر محمد بن عبد الله الجوزقي في صحيحه، وأبو علي محمد بن أحمد الصوّاف، وأبو الحسن علي بن عمر الحربي السكري، وأبو العباس بن عقدة وأبو بكر بن إسحاق الموصلي وأبو علي الحافظ. توفي أبو حاتم الثقة، أصابته سكتة يوم الثلاثاء فتوقّف إلى عشية يوم الأربعاء الرابع من جمادى الآخرة سنة (٣٢٥) (٢).
