والمنسوب: محمد بن عبد الله بن عمر بن عبد الله بن إبراهيم بن غانم بن موسى بن حفص بن مندلة أبو بكر الميرتلي. من أهل إشبيلية، وأصله من ميرتلة، ولد في جمادى الأولى سنة (٤٤٤). صحب أبا الحجاج الأعلم كثيرا، وأخذ عن أبي محمد بن خزرج، وأبي مروان بن سرّاج، وغيرهما. كان أديبا لغويّا، شاعرا فصيحا، وقد أُخذ عنه، توفي في عقب شوال سنة (٥٣٣) (٢).
