والمنسوب: محمد بن خلف بن يوسف بن محمد الأديب الصوفي أبو عبد الله الهروي. المرغابي، كان قد سكن قرية مرغاب، سمع أبا عمر عبد الواحد بن أحمد المليحي، وأجاز للسمعاني، وسمع منه ابن الوزير الدمشقي، في المحرم سنة (٥٣٠) (٢).
