والمنسوب: القاضي عبد السلام بن إسماعيل بن عبد الرحمن بن عبد السلام بن الحسن اللامغاني. أبو محمد، القاضي الفقيه المتقن، سكن دار الخلافة بالمطبق. تفقّه على أبيه وعمه، ودرس بمدرسة سوق العميد، المعروفة بزيرك. من شيوخه: أبو عبد الله الحسين بن الحسن الوبني، وغيره وناب عن القاضي أبي طالب عليّ بن عليّ البخاري في ولايته الثانية إلى أن توفي ابن البخاري، ثم استنابه قاضي القضاة عليّ بن سليمان أيام ولايته بها، وسئل عن مولده فقال فيسنة (٥٢٠) بمحلة أبي حنيفة، وتوفي في مستهل رجب سنة (٦٠٥) ودفن بمقبرة الخيزران بظاهر مشهد أبي حنيفة (١).
