(١٧٥٧) النسبة: الكوفاني، نسبة إلى كُوفان: بالضم ثم السكون، وفاء، وآخره نون: قرية بهراة، ينسب إليها الكوفاني شيخ أحمد بن أبي نصر بن أبي الوقت. والمنسوب: أبو بكر أحمد بن أبي نصر الكوفاني شيخ الصوفية (١) بهراة، سافر إلى العراق، والحجاز، ودخل مصر. من شيوخه: عبد الرحمن بن عمر النحاس الذي حدث عنه أبو الوقت السجزي، سمع منه بمصر، وكان شيخا عفيفا حسن السيرة. توفي بهراة بشهر ربيع الأول سنة (٤٦٤) (٢).
