والمنسوب: أبو عبد الله محمد بن عبد الله بن عبدالبر القنباني، المعروف بالكشكيناني.كان من الثقات في الرواية، المجوّدين في الفتاوى، وله حظوة عند الخليفة المستنصر: أحد خلفاء بني أمية بالأندلس، وقد دخل الشرق، وسمع بمكة ومصر، وكتب عنه عبد الرحمن بن عمر بن النحاس عن عبد الله بن يحيى الليثي. ومحمد بن عبد الله بن عبد البر بن عبد الأعلى بن سالم بن غيلان بن أبي مرزوق التّجيبي المعروف بالكشكيناني، من أهل قرطبة. وانصرف إلى الأندلس وسمع منه الناس كثيرا ثم رحل ثانيا فحج وسمع بن الأعرابي، ومات بطرابلس الشام في سنة (١٤١) (١).
