والمنسوب: محمد بن عصام بن أبي أحمد أبو عبد الله الفقيه القطواني. من شيوخه: محمد بن نصر المروزي، ومن تلاميذه: أبو سعد الإدريسي الحافظ، مات سنة (٣٥٢). وإسماعيل بن مسلم، شيخ حدث بقطوان عن محمد بن عمر بن علي المقدّمي. من تلاميذه: العباس بن الفضل بن يحيى السمرقندي. وأبو محمد محمد بن محمد بن أيوب القطواني. كان مفتيا واعظا مفسرا، مات سنة (٥٠٦) (١).
