والمنسوب: أبو الحسن علي بن محمد بن أحمد الأنصاري، القشبري. من شيوخه: أبو الفتوح أسعد بن محمود بن خلف العجلي، ومحمد بن زيد الكرّاني، سمع الحديث منهما بأصبهان، وحدث بما وراء النهر ببخارى، وسمرقند، وكان عالما بالهندسة. قيل: توفي بسمرقند (١).
