    والمنسوب: حزام بن هشام بن حبيش بن خالد بن الأشعر الخزاعي، القديدي، من أهل الرّقم بادية بالحجاز. من شيوخه: أبوه، وأخوه عبد الله بن هشام، وخليفة عمر بن عبد العزيز، وفد عليه مع أخيه. من تلاميذه: عبد الله بن إدريس، والقعنبي عبد الله بن مسلمة. ومحرز بن مهدي القديدي، وأيوب بن الحكم إمام مسجد قديد، ووكيع أبو سعيد مولى بني هشام، والواقدي، ويسرة بن صفوان، ويحيى بن يحيى النيسابوري، وغيرهم. وكان ثقة. وأبوه هشام أدرك عمر بن الخطاب وسافر معه، وبقي حتى أدرك عمر بن عبد العزيز (٣).
