والمنسوب: محمد بن المؤمّل بن نصر بن المؤمّل أبو بكر بن أبي طاهر بن أبي القاسم. كان يذكر أنه من ولد الليث بن نصر بن سيّار، وسكن بعقوبا ودخل بغداد. من شيوخه: أبو الوقت عبدالأوّل السنجري، وغيره، ومولده سنة (٥٤٠) ببعقوبا، وتوفي بها في ثامن وعشرين جمادى الأولى سنة (٦١٧) (١).
