والمنسوب: عبد الله بن محمد بن سيّار أبو محمد الفرهاذاني، ويقال الفرهياني، النّسائي. من شيوخه: هيثم بن عمّار، وأبو عثمان القاسم بن عبدالملك، ودحيم، سمع منهم بدمشق، وعبدالملك بن شعيب بن الليث، وجعفر بن مسافر التّنّيسي، وعبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن عبدالحكم، وحرملة بن يحيى، سمنه منهم بمصر، وقتيبة بن سعيد، ومحمد بن الوزير الواسطي، وسويد بن نصر المروزي، سمع منهم بخراسان. من تلاميذه: عمرو بن حمدان وأثنى عليه، وبشر بن أحمد الأسفراييني، وأبو بكر الإسماعيلي، وأبو بكر محمد بن الحسن النقاش (٢).
