والمنسوب: موسى بن حاتم الفاشاني، حدَّث. من شيوخه: المقرئ، وأبو الوزير، ومن تلاميذه: محمود بن والان، وغيره. وأبو زيد محمد ابن محمد بن أحمد بن عبد الله بن محمد الفاشاني. الفقيه الشافعي، المنقطع القرين في وقته. من شيوخه: أبو إسحاق المروزي، تفقه عليه، وكان من أحفظ الناس لمذهب الشافعي، وأحسنهم نظرا فيه، وأزهدهم في الدنيا. سمع الحديث من جماعة من أصحاب علي بن حجر، وغيرهم، وسمع صحيح البخاري من الفربري.من تلاميذه: الحاكم أبو عبد الله والدارقطني، ومات سنة (٣٧١) ثالث عشر رجب (١).
