والمنسوب: أبو محمد إسماعيل بن علي الشاعر العين زربي. ومحمد بن يونس بن هاشم المقرئ، العين زربي، المعروف بالإسكاف. من شيوخه: أبو بكر محمد بن سليمان بن يوسف الربعي، وأبو عمر محمد بن موسى بن فضالة، وأبو بكر أحمد بن إبراهيم بن تمام بن حسان، وأحمد بن عمرو بن معاذ الرازي، وأحمد بن عبد الله بن عمر بن جعفر المالكي، ومحمد بن الخليل الأخفش، وجمع عدد آي القرآن العظيم. من تلاميذه: عبد العزيز الكناني، والأهوازي، المقرئ، وأبو علي الحسين بن معشر الكناني، وعلي بن خضر السلمي.مات في ثامن عشر ذي الحجة سنة (٤١١) (١).
