والمنسوب: محمد بن ظفر بن أحمد بن ثابت بن محمد الطّرقي، الأزدي.وأبو نصر أحمد بن محمد بن أحمد بن الحسين بن أحمد بن القاسم بن الطيب بن طاهر بن عبد الله بن الهذيل بن زياد بن العنبر بن عمرو بن تميم الحافظ الطرقي، الأصبهاني. كان حافظا فاضلا، عارفا بطرق الحديث، حريصا على طلبه، حسن الخط، كثير الضبط، ساكنا وقورا، سليم الجانب. من شيوخه: أبو سعد محمد بن أبي عبد الله المطرّز، وأبو العلاء محمد بن عبد الجبار الفرساني، وأبو القاسم غانم بن محمد البرجي، وأبو علي الحدّاد. وأبو العباس أحمد بن ثابت بن محمد الطرقي، كان حافظا متقنا. من شيوخه: أبو الفضل المطهّر بن عبد الواحد، وأبو القاسم بن اليسري (١).
