والمنسوب: سليمان بن زياد بن ربيعة بن نعيم الحضرمي، الصوراني. من شيوخه: عبد الله بن الحارث بن جزء الزبيدي. ومن تلاميذه: ابنه غوث بن سليمان، وعبد الله بن لهيعة، وغيرهما. مات سنة (٢١٦). وابنه أبو يحيى غوث بن سليمان الحضرمي، الصوراني، ولّي قضاء مصر، وكان من خيار القضاة. وأبو زمعة عرابي بن معاوية، الصوراني. قاله البخاري بالغين المعجمة، وقيل الصواب المهملة. من شيوخه: عبد الله بن هبيرة، وغيره. وابنه زمعة بن عرابي الحضرمي ثمّ الصوراني، يكنى أبا معاوية. من شيوخه: أبوه، وحفص بن ميسرة، ومن تلاميذه: سعيد بن عفير، وابنه محمد بن زمعة (٣).
