والمنسوب: عبد الرحمن بن عيسى ابن رجاء الحجري، يعرف بالشّمنتاني. يسكن المريّة، يكنّى أبا بكر، استقضى بالمرية، قبل دخول المرابطين الأندلس، وكان خيّرا فاضلا، كان من أهل الفقه، توفي في سنة (٤٨٦). من شيوخه: أبو الوليد محمد بن عبد الله البكري. من تلاميذه: أبو عبد الله محمد بن سليمان النّفزي. وأحمد بن مسعود الأزدي، الشّمنتاني، الأندلسي، أديب شاعر (٤).
