(١٢٨٢) النسبة: الشافييّ، نسبة إلى شَافِيَا: بالفاء: من قرى واسط ثمّ من ناحية نهر جعفر بين واسط والبصرة، ويقال لها: شيفيا ستذكر تحت لفظها. والمنسوب: الحسن بن عسكر بن الحسن أبو محمد الصوفي (٢)، الشافييّ. كان أبوه شيخ هذه القرية، وله بها رباط للفقراء. سكن أبو محمد هذا واسطا في صباه، وسمع بها الحديث. من شيوخه: القاضي أبي الحسن عليّ بن إبراهيم بن عون الفارقي، وغيره. قدم بغداد، ومات بواسط لأربع عشرة ليلة خلت من رجب سنة (٥٩٩) وقد نيف على الثمانين (٣).
