والمنسوب: القاضي أبو الحسن عليّ بن الحسن بن محمد بن حمدويه السنجاني، الشافعي. من شيوخه: القاضي أبو العبّاس بن سريج تفقّه عليه ببغداد، وولي قضاء نيسابور، وكان ورعا، وأبو الموجّه محمد بن عمر الفزاري، سمع منه بمرو، ويوسف بن يعقوب القاضي سمع منه ببغداد، وغيرهما. من تلاميذه: أبو الوليد حسّان بن محمد الفقيه، وأبو الحسن عليّ بن محمد العروضي (٣).
