والمنسوب: أبو المعالي هبة الله بن الحسين بن الحسن بن أبي الأسود، المعروف بابن البلّ، الرّيّاني. من شيوخه: القاضي أبي بكر الأنصاري، قاضي المارستان. وعبد الله بن معالي بن أحمد الرّيّاني. من شيوخه: شهدة، وأبو الفتح بن المنّي، وغيرهما، سمع منه ابن نقطة (٣).
